Ripples of the Boomerang by Lindy Spencer
Lindy Spencer is a master at depicting life in small town America. For UK readers like myself, this can be difficult to relate to, but Spencer does it without sentimentality. Her hopeful optimism is quite infectious.
‘Ripples of the Boomerang’ really finds its flow and is different in pace to the frenetic action of the first book in the series, ‘The Boomerang Effect’. This novel rewards readers by ting up the loose ends of the first book, with gratifying endings for the characters, and a nice twist at the end.
Readers of ‘The Boomerang Effect’ will particularly enjoy it, but new readers will also be able to follow ‘Ripples of the Boomerang’, and will find it a refreshing read due to Spencer’s unique writing style.
